Akta Lakota Museum and Cultural Center
In the Lakota language, Akta Lakota means to honor the people. Located on the campus of St. Joseph’s Indian School, the Akta Lakota Museum and gallery is a journey through Lakota culture both past and present. It serves to preserve historical artifacts and contemporary art.
